Yvonne Rodriguez is the charm behind Y.R. Public Relations’ motto: Charming Persistence.

Before partnering with her twin sister, Yvette, to launch YRPR, Yvonne gained 10 years of media experience as a Programming Editor for the Telemundo Network.  As the Creative Director for YRPR, she focuses on business development and building the brand.

The University of Florida Alum earned a Bachelors degree in Telecommunications-TV News while producing newscasts for CNN Headline News.

Entrepreneurship is a huge focus for Yvonne.  Alongside Yvette, Yvonne launched the Miami-based, boutique cigar line, Tres Lindas Cubanas Cigars, which can be found in more than a dozen cigar shops throughout the United States.  They’ve recently celebrated their third year as the first and only black-female owned cigar brand in the United States. 

Her company has been featured in news outlets such as CNN, NBC News and many others.

Yvonne’s interests include philanthropy, travel and mentorship. She also enjoys reading, meditating, practicing yoga and golfing.  She is also an advocate and spokesperson for Afro-Cuban and Afro-Latino Awareness.


Y.R. Public Relations is built on a foundation of journalism with more than 15 years of collective experience at South Florida's top television network and radio stations.  The YRPR team is also committed to contributing to community organizations such as: Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, Women in Cable Telecommunications-South Florida Chapter and Comcast/NBC-Universal's Black Professionals Alliance for South Florida.

Recently celebrating the 6 year anniversary of Y.R. Public Relations, Yvette Rodriguez has successfully  represented clients in an array of industries spanning from Hospitality,  Holistic Health, Arts, Culture and Cigars.  As a publicist she specializes in sharing her clients’ unique stories and sharing them with their target market by securing media coverage in both local and national media levels.

Before launching Y.R. Public Relations, Yvette began her communications career at the University of Florida’s WUFT-News 5.  After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications-TV News, she moved back to her hometown of Miami and earned her stripes as a journalist at South Florida's WSVN-7 News and News Radio-610 WIOD.  Her leap into public relations came almost seamlessly and she’s since expanded her marketing knowledge to launch her second business, Tres Lindas Cubanas Cigars alongside her twin sister, Yvonne.  

Together they’ve launched the first and only, Black-female owned Cigar brand in the United States.  As the publicist for TLC Cigars,  Yvette has secured media coverage on NBC News, CNN, Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald and many others.

As a first generation Cuban-American, Yvette is also an advocate and spokesperson for Afro-Cuban and Afro-Latino awareness.
